Vacuum Stripping Fermentation Technology to Improve Productivity in Dry Grind Corn Process for Bioethanol Production

Vacuum Stripping Fermentation Technology to Improve Productivity in Dry Grind Corn Process for Bioethanol Production [1]

Dr. Singh from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has developed an ethanol vacuum stripping process compatible with the dry grind corn process. In contrast to current technologies, this process accommodates increased solid loadings, reduced fermentation time, and results in an overall improvement in plant efficiency. Dr. Singh's technology could be directly incorporated into most EtOH production plants.
